Therapeutic Massage
A hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, which has a therapeutic effect on the health and well-being of an individual by acting on the muscular, nervous, and circulatory systems.
Heather specializes in Therapeutic deep tissue massage, Myofascial Release techniques, CranioSacral Therapy training from the Upledger Institute, and currently she is a Certified Level 1 Instructor of Foundation Training.
CranioSacral Therapy
A technique that can be incorporated into the massage treatment or as a stand-alone session. CST is a light touch approach that can release tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole body health and performance.
It involves facilitating or enhancing the body’s own natural capacity to heal when trauma or disease processes become overwhelming for the system.
Foundation Training
A series of bodyweight exercise designed to restore natural movement patterns by teaching you how to move more efficiently.
This is a movement practice that she is incorporating into the treatment session as home-care for those clients interested in exercises to help improve mobility in their activities of daily life and help correct imbalances and reduce pain in the body caused by poor posture habits.
